I placed an order on March 5th for a brand new 15" Macbook Pro: 2.16GHz C2D/1GB RAM/120GB and .Mac. Both things shipped out the next day. I recieved the .Mac today, which ended up being a day early. The Macbook Pro is scheduled to arrive on March 9th. It would be so awesome if that would come a day early too!
Anyway, I just wanted to express my joy not only about the excitement of my purchases but also Apple's swift shipping methods! We always tend to see threads when something is wrong, so I figured I'd post one about something impressive.
I'll be sure to post pics when the Macbook Pro arrives!

Congrats on the new Mac! That's a really nice computer you're going to have. And yes, Apple does ship things very fast. I got my refurb iMac in 3 or 4 days!

Congrats... I am also a proud 1st time Mac owner. I ordered my 15" MBP on 3/4/07 & took delivery of it yesterday (3/6/07). I can't believe I waited this long to make the switch from Windows....

Hey, congrats on the new Mac. I myself have also found Apples shipping to be relatively speedy. I had to wait a couple days on my MP as it was BTO, but the displays came in just 2 days. I like that they use Fed Ex, I have found Fed Ex to be so much more reliable then UPS or DHL.

Nothing beats going to answer the door and finding a Fed Ex guy/gal standing there with your new toy. One of my favorite experiences.

:D

So, to my shock the Macbook Pro did arrive a day early. My girlfriend woke me up to tell me that the Macbook Pro was here. It came at 9:30 this morning. I'm so impressed with Apple.
Pics as promised:

Nice! It's a really great machine and should serve you well for many years to come. But I would definitely get AppleCare before your 1-year warranty runs out. It's pretty much essential if you plan to keep it a while.

I tend to never keep the same machine for more than a year, but Applecare is always good to have.

i've always believed if something didn't break in the first year of use, then it likely won't break over the next two. i've not bought applecare for any of my macs, and i've never needed to (knock on wood).

Just about every Mac I've owned has had to have something fixed with Apple Care. My iBook 14-inch went in the shop 3 times for logic boards, my 12-inch PB's HD failed just after the 1-year warranty expired and the frame around the screen started coming loose, my dual-800 G4 tower needed a new logic board, my G5's boot drive died, my MacBook Pro's superdrive has already failed. I'm just saying from experience, it's better to be safe than sorry :)

Congrats on the new computer! I recently bought nearly the same machine as you! Got the glossy as well. I really love it. No dead pixels or uneven display problems.
