MacBook Pro into iPod Hi-Fi

So how do I go about connecting these two badboys? What cable would I need and how much will it set me back?

Just want better sound when watching DVDs at home and listening to music.

i think their might be a line in slot....

Input port accepts analog 3.5 mm stereo minijack or S/PDIF optical digital miniplug(3)

a simple 1/8in. minijack to 1/8in. minijack cable will work. and since the hifi has optical in just like your mbp has optical out, an optical cable with spdif miniplug adapters will work too.

Thanks for the idea of making the Hi-Fi system a pretty nice buy. I haven't bought one yet, but if I had the money right now I think I would. It would be nice to dock my iPod to, and when I get a MacBook Pro (whenever that will be) I could use it as a speaker. But who knows.. there is sooo much Apple stuff that I could use.
