Does anyone know if there is an option for a 17" MacBook Pro to have a full size keyboard with a numeric keypad serperate such as a standard keyboard?

Is it that hard to go on the apple website and look at the options?

Or get a USB plug in.

Apple makes a USB plugin, check the store on their site, it also acts as a calculator, is very expensive though, you should learn how to use the numbers at the top of the keyboard, saves money.

confused::confused: defeats the purpose of it being a laptop. get a desktop instead.

You're probably aware that there are USB numeric keypad options available.

Personally, I'm glad that Apple got rid of the num lock business on these boards. It was more of a nuisance to me than it was ever, ever helpful (to me).

I have not understood the need to have a keypad on a 17-inch notebook. It makes the trackpad placement both awkward functionally and aesthetically. Then there's the whole issue of speaker quality and placement. I think anyone here who has used a 17-inch MacBook Pro knows the quality of the speakers is better than on the 15-inch model (although I heard that this might have changed a little bit the new unibody).
