Macbook pro m1 16 speakers crackling after ventura.

Yup, now on my m1 max 16 macbook pro I'm having the dreaded audio crackling issue. Basically, if I'm listening to something and i try to do anything else on the system, the audio crackles. For example, if I'm listening to youtube and then go and open up tik tok the audio will crackle as it tries to play both.

Any ideas? I know this is a common problem but this only happened after upgrading from monterey to ventura for me. It was completely fine on Monterey.

yep your trying to do to much, it's pushing to much data and is struggling!

yeah, but this worked fine on monterey before updating.

I've observed something similar happening with second life running in rosetta, I installed an audio passthrough driver and routed it's audio via it and stopped the youtube glitches for now.
