Macbook pro M1 and external sound source.

Hi there,
I just want to ask if is there possibility or if is there some software which will be setting monitor as default source of sound automat. after connecting my macbook to my external monitor ( Iam connecting it through thunderbolt port , my speakers are connected to the monitor) I tried eq mac and some other SW, but even in pro version there is not such a function. Thanks for advice.

Are you able to get sound to play that way? My Macs generally change the audio source when I plug in familiar peripherals, aka it automatically switches sound output to my Thunderbolt dock with speakers plugged in, and switches sound output to my TV when I plug in with HDMI, etc.

Yes it is possible but i need to manually switch the input to the external monitor after connecting thunderbolt cable.
