MacBook Pro M1 - Blotches / Spots on Bottom Case

I purchased a new base model MBP M1 from my Apple Store and right out of the box (as I removed the plastic) I noticed there was some blotches on the bottom case on the metal. The packaging was fully sealed. I tried to wipe it down with a microfibre cloth but that didn't help. Looks like a manufacturing defect in the metal. The machine works fine, but I will probably exchange it for another one.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Wonder if it's just a one-off or more widespread.

I'd return it. You shouldn't have that on a new machine.
They'd knock the price right down if you were trading it in to Apple.
