Hi there.
New MacBook Pro M1 here (CTO model, 16 Gb memory, 512 SSD).
After some time, my Touch Bar interface starts to get laggy.
If I change screen brightness, there's a delay between the moment I press the Touch Bar and the moment it reflects on the screen brightness and even on the OSD screen brightness level showed on screen.
Most frequently after this happens, Mac just reboot by itself and after restarting I get a report indicating there was a kernel panic related to the Touch Bar.
Anyone else with this kind off issues?
Mac OS is up to date, so I am clueless here.
Is this a know issue, hopefully to be solved in a future Mac OS update?

Hi there,

same issue on my Macbook Pro 13" 2020 (16GB, 512 SSD) as of the Big Sur 11.5.1.

The reboot is spontaneous - even if I don't actively use the Macbook. It just restarts und reports a touch bar related panic.

Sounds like my issue (touchbar is laggy), but I end up manually rebooting and don't get a kernel panic that I know about.

Do you see WindowServer % CPU spiking in Activity Monitor too?

It happed twice. I did reboot manuallyin between the two panics. After the last panic I did not reboot manually and haven't notice any lag since then. Didn't check the activity monitor.

I'll keep an eye on that and will let you know if it happens again - and yes, I'll check the activity log.
