I know you can play games with how each Macbook stacks up and this is not completely apples to apples, but...was thinking when the M3's come out, I would at least look for discounts in M1/M2 models. Though still leaning towards the Macbook Pro with the Pro chip.

What concerns me a bit is the M1 Max seems to have higher memory bandwidth and more GPU cores (32 vs 18). Though the M3 does have ray tracing.

Like I said I will probably go with the M3 Pro. But am going to wait until I see some reviews on it first before ordering. This will be my new main laptop. Which means mostly work stuff, but would like to play the occasional game (like Baldur's Gate 3). Any thoughts?
