Hello! Just curious, but does anyone know why my Macbook Pro might be draining faster than usual? I have the 14" late 2021 model with 16gb of ram, 512 gb of storage, 8 cores, and AppleCare. I got it new last September, and in the last few weeks, I have noticed that it is draining much faster. macOS battery health says the battery health is "Normal" at 90%, but Battery Health 2 says the health is at 85%. System information has the cycle count at 106. I have all the battery saving settings enabled (auto dim screen, low power mode on battery, screen saver disabled and turn off screen after a minute, turn off key backlighting after a minute)
Usage: ~8 hrs on battery (for school), plugged in the remaining 16 hours using a standard Magsafe charger.
Apps: see pictures below
I currently use it for school, but the intent when it was purchased was for me to learn software development and maybe pentesting.
Any suggestions on how to improve battery health? Could this be a defective battery, or should I just hope it dips below 80% in the next 2 years so I can get the free replacement?

Look at what apps are running background processes. You might find that that is your answer. Also, Apple's battery health feature and other battery health monitoring apps are all approximate, not exact in terms of percentage.
