I have a late 2020 M1 Pro with 16 gig of ram. My problem only occurs when I am using a remote screen. i use the Mac dongle to provide hdmi out for presentations. I also have a Logitech wireless mouse. When running video the computer will freeze only the video not the sound On both screens. I have changed video players and video formats but it continues to happen. Once video freezes the only way out is to hold down the power button to re start. I have visited the Genius Bar and spent hours on with Mac support, they first thought it was the software video player then the screen refresh rate. Now they suggest I upgrade to m3 pro of max. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you using a “Mac dongle” (Whatever that is) When the MacBook Pro of 2020 has an HDMI connector built-in?
