Hello there.

This is most certainly a dumb question but my knowledge of electric stuff is almost null… 😄

I have a M2 Max and got the extension cord from Apple site. In the site it says it’s compatible with the 140w adapter. But in the box it goes only up to 87w or something like that.

It’s just a case of a not updated box and all extensions cords are the same?

Or is there any other cord that goes up to 140w? Will I damage in some way my computer with this one I got?

Thank you.

The cord is fine for 140W. The box just hasn’t been updated - it’s probably old stock.

The power cord is a power cord, unless they cheaped out in some way it should be able to handle 1000w+, they're just speccing what they were specifically selling it for at time of production.
