New USB-C
Macbook pro Version 13.5 Ventura
Lg monitor: LG 38WN95C-W
I did not see another thread similar to my issue so if its a repost I am sorry
It was all working before. From M2 to Monitor using usb-c was working before. I did not use any dongle or hub to connect. Straight from M2 to Monitor. My M2 was 13.4 before and the issue started when it was still 13.4. I updated to 13.5 in hopes of it will work but no luck. The problem occurred when I disconnected the usb-c from monitor and plugged it back in after a minute and there was no display.
What I have tried:
- Reset Nvram using terminal from recovery mode
- I bought new cable
- Plugged off power from monitor for a hour
- I tried with HDMI first (which works) then plugged off the hdmi and plugged in USB-C and did not work
- I have restarted my mac several times
- display port 1.4 to 1.2 did not work
- Reseted the monitor
What works is HDMI which is connected from usb-c dongle to monitor. And the macbook charges when I connect usb-c to monitor directly.
If there is any more trick left to do please let me know. It seems like using HDMI is the only choice.
