Macbook Pro Mid 2009 16 GB Ram

Hello,

Even if Apple states that Macbook Pro Mid 2009 (5,5) can be upgraded to 2 x 4GB DDR3-1066 SODIMM Ram. I wonder has someone tried to install 2 x 8 GB of ram? I see a video someone installed 16 GB of ram to his 2010 MBP. I wonder can I do same to to MBP 2009 13.3 inch?

You cannot. 13" 2010 was the first to support it. And even 15" and 17" 2010 can't.

The 2010 MBPro can be upgraded to 2 x 8GB.
That's a published upgrade, and the good MacTracker app shows that.
The 2009 MBPro, unfortunately, only 2 x 4GB...

- It's an option, and it will work well. You can save $10-15 by going with something else off Amazon if you want.
