hi there !
In my macbook all were ok until recently, i believe, when i used opencore to make an external hdd bootable with sonoma etc.
I say this because it appeared around that time. I never saw this system behavior on my laptop.

When i start the macbook via power button, it opens and i see a white screen, during startup. This color can stay there for over 20 minutes
without showing any other sign of thinks working ok. In some cases i always start with whiteish screen and afer a while 30 seconds to 1 minute it changes to gray colour and then if i am lucky the user login window appears.

NO progress bar or Apple logo appearing at all in all situations. Its gone.
This breaks my nervous system as most of the times screen stays whitish blank and i have to shut down, restart and reset pram.
After PRAM reset things can go better and see apple logo and progress bar. But luck does not come so ofter. Most of the times i am stuck
in whitish screen and have to wait over 5min for login menu to appear with luck...

In the past i heard a beep and once in a year the beep makes me to alter the RAM dimms of the mac in their compartment.

Any clue what is causing this. Is it because the laptop in the morning gets cold and components show this behavior until the metal casing of the laptop cools down in room temperature or not.

I have high sierra and tested booting with 1 of the 2 hard drives conventional and then SSD alone thinking could be SSD getting cold and misbehaves but no proof its the hdd's.

Any answers are appreciated.

just adding that today when i noticed the above issues again... by accident i pushed the lcd display downwards about 45 degrees angle instead of ie 90 degress and then i noticed that the display from white showed the login screen ok.

I am thinking now... is this maybe a difficult to spot hardeware issue with the video card or maybe a cable issue which causing this ?

Why does it show normally the image etc when i tilt the lcd towards that angle instead of vertical orientation not sure.
Any further clues from others who may have experienced this would be great for me to read them here.
