Hello everyone :)

I recently bought the 4k LG 32UN880-B and connected it to my Mac via the provided HDMI.
The problem is that I can only get 30hz over HDMI, which is exhausting for my eyes.

I read that connecting over the MAcs build-in thunderbold would solve solve that, but my monitor only has USB-C, USB-3 and HDTV(?).

Can someone recommend me a good way of connecting these two? :)

The monitor has DisplayPort, like the MBP (Thunderbolt also includes DisplayPort). Use that.

Thank you :)
So a Thunderbolt to Displayport cable would be the solution?

A simple Mini-DIsplayPort to DisplayPort cable is all you need. The Mac will "see" that it's a DisplayPort cable and output the correct signal.
