What's the harm, if any, in using a 60W Power Adapter with a Macbook Pro? I know they're supposed to use an 85W Adapter. I need to get an extra one for cheap, so I'm wondering if there will be any harm if I buy the wrong one.

Also curious about using a 45W Adapter on a Powerbook that's supposed to use a 65W adapter.

Using an underpowered adapter for your machine won't do it any harm, but there's a chance it won't charge your battery very well, if at all, if you're using the computer at the time.

I've been using the 60w with my MBP for about two weeks now. I'm in Morocco and the "Apple" store in Rabat only had the 60w. It works fine and even charges the battery too. Do a search and you'll get the techinical info regarding the difference in power, etc.
