Hi there,
I have one MacBook Pro mid 2010, first owner, last year it was upgraded, 500 ssd and 16ddr3.

I don’t understand what happened, last week I was working and went to make some lunch and when I back the monitor was grey and prohibited.

I read here in the forum, videos on YouTube how to fix,I tried firstAid but doesn’t work from diskutility.

it was showing the name of the disk “appleAPFSmedia” uninitialized

after that I was thing could be the Harddisk cable, I bought the cable from amazon but the problem still, I read about could be the motherboard, but I don’t know.

I used the new HD, and I try to solve the problem but still the same, not working.

I used another USB HD external, new and formatted and I installed highsierra on it, running slowly but working.

i didn’t use my iCloud account, I use from new withou account and I saw in the trash more than 12Gb many pictures, the same pictures I was working that day. How is possible?
Is a new Hd.

So now I don’t know if the problem is the cable, motherboard or ...?

thanks guys
