with my computers luck I can't even look at my computer wrong if it could void the warranty let alone do anything like that.
 
If I recall, I remember seeing an ad in the back pages of Macworld or MacLife and there was a company that offered this service to install a second hard drive in the MBP by removing the Superdrive. Seemed kind of expensive and they would put the removed Superdrive in an enclosure so you would still be able to access and burn media. This guy certainly has more intestinal fortitude then I to attempt this. Bravo.
 
Whenever I finally get a MacBook Pro, I think I'll get a 7200rpm 160GB drive for boot, and the largest SATA 2.5" drive they make as a data drive.

I personally wouldnt really need the ODD, as disc images work great.

My current Dell laptop has not had the actual DVD module installed inside of it since I reinstalled Windows a month ago. It has 2 batteries inside of it. (Its a C640)
