Hi guys,
I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro because my 2013 model stopped powering on. I had it taken to a repair shop where they changed the battery and looked at it for a while but said the issue was with the logic board and that it would be expensive to replace.
I pulled it out of storage today to hopefully sell it for parts online and after taking off the back pane I noticed something on the logic board.
I’m not familiar with the layout of the logic board but it looks like in the photo attached the CPU appears to be cracked.
Could anyone clarify what this part is? And wether or not that could cause the powering up issue?
Thanks
