Hi All
I'm about two weeks into my new Macbook Pro and I cannot fault it in the slightest. Anyway, I seem to have set up my screen via the OSX calibration utility to correspond to my tastes. (ie I prefer a whiter more contrasted display). I have set this up, but for some reason watching DVD's and other mpegs seem off color. In other words the black is extremely dark and shadowed, there is a yellow tinge and the whites seem off. (This is particularly the case with the new Narnia DVD and the Lost season 1 box set). But when I go to desktop, the color profile seems great.
Has anyone got any ideas as to how to optimize the color profile on the Macbook so as to have a general optimal setting both for viewing the desktop and internet and also watching DVD's. Moreover, is there any utility that you can recommend to set this up?
I may be a bit pedantic on this, and I have become somewhat obsessed with optimizing the setting on the screen profile. However the MBP has such a top quality screen that I just want to enjoy it to its maximum.
I also have a problem with some DVD playback being a bit grainy... Any ideas?
Thanks a lot
