Check out page 106...there's no traditional heatsink, just a heat pipe running across all 3 chips. Normally there's a small heatsink with a pipe that runs to a radiator...I'm impressed.

I think the iBook fits that comment better, all other Aluminum PowerBooks except the 12" use the heatpipe with little flat areas for the chips.

1440 x 960 resolution?

The service manual states the MBP has a 1440 x 960 resolution. Seems to be a typo, but that would be cool.

Main service and feature differences from previous models:
Intel Core Duo microprocessor architecture: 1.83GHz, 2.0GHz, and a 2.16GHz option
Higher resolution 15.4-inch display, 1440 x 960, 114 dpi (previously 1280 x 854, 101 dpi)
Supports DDR2 memory up to 2GB
128MB VRAM with dual link DVI option is now standard
9.5mm slot load SuperDrive (versus the previous 12.7mm)
80GB 5400 RPM hard drive standard
100GB/120GB 5400 RPM, 100GB 7200 RPM hard drive option
No modem
No FireWire 800 port
No PC Card slot
ExpressCard/34 expansion card slot
Dual display latch
AirPort and Bluetooth cards and antennas are separate and in different locations
The AirPort Extreme antenna assembly is in the clutch cover

Thanks too-I always enjoy reading the Apple service manuals, along with Sony's (which provide a revision history-Apple should do that too).

The service manual states the MBP has a 1440 x 960 resolution. Seems to be a typo, but that would be cool.

It also states that the AC adaptor is the only part from the powerbook that is compatible with MBP....so I think this might be an early revision.
