I am on OS X Sierra on a Macbook Pro Retina 2015 and I have just experienced a strange, weird issue. My Macbook just randomly shut off, not a kernel panic, it literally turned off like the power was disconnected. I am at 42% battery and it started back up just fine..

I can't find any logs what caused it (probably didn't have time to write to log if it shut off suddenly).

Anyone else has this?

Look in this folder and see if there is a crash report from the date/time this happened.

I have looked everywhere for logs and found nothing, guess I am out of luck! It may be that it got too hot and decided to just shut off in which case it wouldn't get time to log anywhere.

I guess I'll keep an eye on it and if it happens again I'll get it looked at by Apple maybe needs cleaning out inside from dust..

Was more curious if anyone else reported this if its a possibility its a bug in Sierra?
