MacBook Pro Sleep

I just got a shiny new 13" macbook pro and i plan to use it for skool. one thing i was curious about was when i put the computer to sleep does the hard drive turn off? id much rather put the machine to sleep between classes rather than turn off/turn on but i dont want to break it either by moving the machine while the hdd is spinning. thanks

The HDD should park itself when going to sleep, basically as close as you can get to shutting it off, without...you know...shutting it off

Yes, the hard drive is off when the machine is asleep. No worries.
