Hi,

the other day I gave my MacBook a good cleaning (It was filled with dust).

MacBook Pro retina touchbar 2016 (a1706)

I did not disconnect the battery or remove the speakers, but I did disconnect the speakers from the motherboard (to clean under it).
I brushed it and sparingly used compressed air.

Immediately since reassembling it the sound has been "muffled" and muted when coming from its own speakers, barely audible. There were no prior sound issues.

Whatever the problem, it has happened equally to both speakers.

I have tried resetting pram etc and changed settings in audio midi without improvement.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks!

edit - in audio midi the "primary stream" slider is all way down to the left and can't be moved....
