Macbook Pro sounds like a jet taking off

Over the course of the last few weeks... the fans in my MBP seems to have started to generate way more noise than before. Previously at 6000 RPM its been loud but only of the sound of air moving... now they sound like jet taking off with way more noise than before....

Has anyone else noticed a problem like this??? My MBP is on for about 20 hours of the day and I have used it for about 8 months... so could it be the ball bearings wearing out???

Yes, it sure is loud.

In fact louded than any PC I've ever owned in the past 2 years.

But it runs cool. I ain't complaining.

But the problem isn't fact it is loud. Its just it sounds way louder now than before at 6000RPM. I have linked a recording of it. About half way I turn down the left fan to 1000RPM and sound is much better.

yeah that defiantly does not sound good, sounds like the actual fan itself is scraping against something

well looks like the fan is dead... so the MBP is running on one fan only

That's pretty normal for ball-bearing fans actually. Not saying I am comfortably with the sound at all.

As a freind owns a Macbook Pro he does not have any problems with his fan i would recogmend taking it back to apple
