Please do not judge me for this, I know what I did was stupid but I was just worried.

So I have had my MacBook Pro (2021) for a few months now and everything has been swell. Yesterday I wanted to clean the display however I was having trouble with the usual dry microfiber cloth and sprayed a little water on the screen. Unfortunately some of the mist got on the speaker holes so I let it air dry after cleaning it. Now at this point, I should have just kept using the device after it dried however for some reason I decided to run a Siri shortcut which ejects water (I have used these on my iPhone before without issue). I used these two: Water Eject - Siri Shortcutshttps://shortcutsgallery.com › shortcuts › water-eject-💧, and RoutineHub • Water Ejecthttps://routinehub.co › shortcut.

So I ran each one twice and no water came out so I thought it was fine, however the thought that this had damaged my speakers plunged into my head and now every time I listen to content I feel like it sounds slightly worse, not horrible but "blurry"? However I asked someone else and they said it sounds flawless so I'm wondering if this is just placebo.

Is it possible that running these shortcuts for a combined ~60 seconds could have damaged the speakers and degraded sound quality? Sorry if I sound like a paranoid idiot (I am one) but someone else telling me an answer would really make me feel better about this.

Thanks!

Go to Apple and have them examine them. Worse case scenario you'll need to replace the speakers. Best case, water issue still there and you need to wait for it to dry.
I really don’t think any water got in, I’m more wondering if it’s possible that using those shortcuts damaged (or degraded) the speakers.
