Macbook Pro...Super hot during sleep?

I've had my MBP repaired 3 times and I finally last week got my replacement with the upgraded processor (2.16 15in 1gb/7200rpm 100gb HDD/256vRAM). Anyway, now, when I put my computer so sleep, IE close the lid, the fans do not stop running and it gets really really hot in my bag. When I close it on my desk it takes a good 15 for the fans to stop running. The only programs running when i closed the lid were Safari and iTunes, and last night on my desk quicktime was on as well. I have no idea what is up with this. On my old MBP I could close the lid and it would shut down almost instantly. Any ideas?

Also, my spacebar squeaks when I tap it. It is very, very (very) irritating. Is there any way I can pry it up and oil it or something? (I know you don't oil keys but if I could pry it up and re-attach it so that it sits better, that would be cool.) Is it possible

Are you positive that it's actually going to sleep? I usually watch the light in the front & wait for it to start fading in & out to verify that it's asleep. Try going into the activity monitor, killing any & all software you're running, and then closing the lid. If it still acts the same, I hate to say you may have to call up Apple again.

The light is pulsing: what I think may be happening is that I'll put it to sleep by closing the lid and it will go to sleep but the fans will continue to run until it is at a certain temperature. If I stick it in my bag, apparently that temperature is never reached and the fans never turn off, they probably just end up heating the machine up even more. I've found that if I close it and wait 10 minutes for the fans to entirely stop, it does not heat up in my bag. I guess that trade off is that the laptop is much cooler during regular operation...connection? I think so...

I select sleep mode from the Apple menu and it's not a problem- I have experienced this problem before though, and it seems to stem mainly from leaving internet applications open when closing the lid.

I can't see why it would run hot while sleeping, either from dropping the lid, or manual sleep. Everything should run down and go to sleep, therefore the machine should be cool.

My MBP has been having trouble going to sleep by just closing the lid since the 10.4.8 update. If I sleep with Apple Menu>Sleep and then close, I'm fine, though. I've also found that if I restart once it becomes an insomniac, it will sleep on close fine for a day or so.
