I have a new MacBook Pro. I bought a CablesToGo adapter (I'm in college so this is the best that the store had) and it connects with my HDMI cable. I can watch my Netflix on my TV but only the audio is coming from my MacBook. How can I get it to play through my LG HDTV?

If you go to System Preferences>Sound, do you see an option for selecting HDMI vs internal speakers?

Might be the adapter:

PLEASE NOTE: MiniDisplayPort TO HDMI Adapter Audio pass-through has now been enabled for the following apple computer models:

MacBook Pro 13/15/17’’ mid-2010 release, iMac 21.5/27’’ early-2010 release.

Previous generation MacBook and iMac models only supports video output through miniD
