Ok, I'm a newbie (just registered 5 minutes ago), but I curious as to the thoughts on an article published by appleinsider (http://www.appleinsider.com/article...et_at_final_cut_meet_radiohead_on_itunes.html)

Could a new MBP be silently announced at this Final Cut Pro group meeting?

Like a lot of you on here, I've been holding off buying a MBP to hear what was happening today. Not sure how much longer I want to wait.

Let me know your thoughts on this?

a new Macbook Pro would be nice, but on the other hand; what would expect for? The MacBook Pro has a good CPU, a great video card, and is fast/reliable. Honestly, I bought my Macbook Pro a few weeks ago, and would have had some light regrets if a new Macbook Pro would have been introduced. That said, I am very happy with my MBP (even if it's the entry-level model) and I would still be very happy with it even if a new version would have been introduced today. Keep in mind I'm not a gamer, and I do very little "hardcore" video/photo editing.

There were also rumors from AppleInsider that an upgraded Macbook/Pro would be shown tomorrow.

you do realize that this article links to AppleInsider right?

Also, I really hope this is true, but once again, I hate to get my hopes up. Apple seems to be one dissapointment after another for the MBP lately.

yah I do man... like it only makes sense that it gets updated at MWSF. I don't see why it won't.. seriously

While I would love if they updated the MBPs tomorrow (I was expecting them to do it today, oh well) my money is on something much more related to Final Cut.

Despite having the 'pro' moniker, the MacBook Pros are much too consumer oriented to get an update at a FCP event.

It sure would be nice though.

Maybe, just maybe...

they will announce a Blu-Ray Drive in the MBP?

I know, I know..1st post and I'm really reaching!

Well since I have never owned a Mac, but have decided to buy a MBP, I thought I would shoot for the Heavens!!!

Can't wait to taste the Apple. :D
