Hi guys, may I know if anyone of you are using MacBook Pro Touchbar 2017 and facing the same problems as mine?
My display is facing the below issues,
1) There are horizon lines show across the display.
2) The screen is flickering
3) When things get worse, it will get totally black out.
Pressinng the power button to on and off the display, sometimes the display get back, but the ghosting issue is always there.
If I do not on the display for some time, it will be back to normal for a short period of time. After some usage, same old problem is back again.
I did send the machine to Apple's authorised dealer for checking, when i sent in that time, the display was normal, and I could not simulate the issue on the spot. The service agent did some diagnosis test, he said my machine hardware including display and graphic card are ok. I asked how much does it cost if I need to replace the display. They said it will cost SGD1k++ for the display replacement and in depth diagnosis. So I said I will consider.
When I am back home, the same issues continue again. Sometimes it works normally, sometimes the ghosting and display issue come back again.
I wonder if my macbook pro touch bar 2017 is suffering the same issue as below. However, looking at the service program offered by APple, it only covers the 2016 models.
My macbook is less than 3 years and it starts to give issues which to me it is not acceptable for an Apple product. Somemore it is not even covered by the service program and the cost to replace the display is also too high.
Anyone has the same issues? Please share your views here.
