I have the latest version of the MacBook Pro is it a 64 bit or 32 bit machine, also I want to install vista on it, should I install the Ultimate edition 32 bit or 64 bit? Please let me know. Thanks.
Max.

Only 32 bit support with Bootcamp. If that helps.

Update: If you have a new Macbook Pro with the Core 2 Duo, you have 64bit chip. I tested 32bit Vista Ultimate on my macbook pro and it ran fine.

Yes thanks that answers my question perfectly. Will Bootcamp eventually support 64 bit and also will there be a noticeable speed increase between vista 32 bit and 64 bit?

We don't know and depends, in that order.

With 64bit code, some stuff is about the same, some stuff is faster, and some stuff is slower. Memory usage for the same task is usually increased, too.

You can install Vista x86-64 in a Boot Camp partition, however, Apple does not provide 64-bit drivers and as such, you will have to find them on your own.
