MacBook Pro weird freezing issues?

My MacBook Pro started doing this yesterday, and I wanted to see if anyone else had this problem...

Basically I'll be doing something totally innocuous; for example, scrolling around on a webpage using the two-finger technique, or typing an email, when suddenly, in mid-scroll or mid-type, it semi-freezes. The cursor still moves around; however, I can't click on anything, nor can I type. All I can do is press the power button and reboot.

Anyone else have this problem?

Do you have an external mouse you could try? I wonder if the problem carries over.

However, since it's so new, I wouldn't spend too much time troubleshooting it, I'd just take it back to Apple.

Good idea about the mouse. I'll try that next time.
