Hi

I saw an update for the beta in the app store which supposedly helped with the crashing of 32-bit apps. However, when I try and restart it from within the App store the computer just hangs. I can't restart the Finder however, I can open other apps and work fine in them (this post is being written on Chrome after one of these failed shutdowns (the finder won't reboot, but everything else is fine).

If I do a hard reset, then shut the machine down / restart it etc it works fine, it only appears to be when I'm trying to get this update to install.

Is there anyway to delete the update file (that I assume is now on my mac somewhere) so I can try downloading it again? Or is trying to install this unsuccessfully a known bug?

Thanks

Sam

Strangely, the item no longer appears in the updates section of the app store, and the computer restarts fine now. I didn't really do anything as far as I know.

Though it doesn't seem to have helped any of the 32-bit apps I was hoping it would...

Still, the price of a beta.

Same here, on a late 2013 15" MBP. Letting the App Store restart, or manually restarting the system, simply never happens - the apps quit, but the Finder winds up in an unresponsive state, so the restart never happens, nor does it time out. Consequently, I can't seem to apply the update, as forcibly shutting the system down and starting up again doesn't actually apply the update.

[Edit: naturally, having typed that, the next restart was successful. Go figure]
