hey i was wondering i have a first generation macbook 1.83. i have just upgraded the memory to 2gb and put in a new 100gb 7200 rpm harddrive is there any way possible to get a faster processor on it like a core 2 duo or a core due but faster might be a dumb question i id figure ill give it a shot.

it's impossible. the processor is soldered to the logic board. many people have asked this before, so you're not alone.

Hell I would like to know what you are running in order to need something faster than a core duo 1.8!! Unless you just want it so you can tell your friends or post it on the internet how could you possibly think its slow :confused:

i had a feeling that was the case, well right now im running final cut pro but eventually i will be running maya 8.5 i would like to run x plane 8.5 but the graphics card will probably not let me do that as will probably be the case with maya.

It's not impossible. It's just really, really difficult to exchange.

Obviously, you need better graphics hardware and you're only going to find something substantial with the Pro line.
