Hi all!

After much thought, I have decided that I will purchase a MacBook next year.

But I have two main concerns which I hope some of you could answer:
Are MacBooks suitable for audio work i.e. Logic and Cubase, or should I go with a MacBook Pro? I don't think I am willing to spend an extra $1000...

Also, are Apple going to update the MacBooks early next year? What about at the end of this year?

Cheers!

Nobody knows when the MacBooks or MacBook Pro's will be updated. Some say that the MacBooks will be updated during the Leopard release and some say the MBP will be updated around Jan/Feb. And for the audio work, if my iBook G4 can handle Logic, I think a MacBook can handle it no problems. But if you are doing work that requires lots of GPU power, then you should go with the MBP because the MB video card is horrible.
