MacBook RAM for my needs?

Happy holidays all. I have a 2.0GHz Core Duo MacBook (512MB). It seems like it bogs down a bit when I boot up fresh and launch Office 2004. Is 512MB starting to become an inadequate amount of RAM for daily use OR is it that Office runs slow on an Intel Mac? I do plan to get Leopard as soon as it is released. Do I need to add RAM now, later and if so how much would give me the best bang for the buck.

I will use Photoshop CS for basic photo editing, Dreamweaver 8, Office 2004, simple text editors and browse the web. Thanks for any input.

To the point - add ram now - 512 MB is at the margin to say the least. OS X is ram hungry and running MS Office under Rosetta is slower and will benefit from more ram. Go for a full 2 GB if you can afford it - otherwise simply add a 1 GB SODIMM in place of one of your current SODIMMS.
