Macbook Ram question

I just bought 4 gigs of G.Skil ram from newegg. Cost around 150 bucks. But i really didn't put any thought into it. Does anyone use G.Skil ram? Is it Good Ram?

idk anything about G.Skil RAM.

But I hope you have a guarantee on it, in-case it doesn't work. Apple is often quick to blame 3rd party RAM if anything goes wrong.

That's funny since Apple doesnt make RAM at all so it's all third party. Next, most RAM chips are made by just a few different mfgrs. In short, my 4GB of the same Gskill will be here today and it will be fine.

Yeah. Just another way for to make money.

I bought 2GB from Crucial that will be here in a few days. It will be fine as well.

If you still have the CD/DVD that came w/ your Mac, start-up with the disc inserted and hold down 'D'. It will bring you to the Apple Hardware Test screen.

If you don't have the disc, there are plenty of free memtest programs out there.

There is an application called Rember that you can download from www.versiontracker.com

Also, you can use Apple Hardware Test that came on the OS DVDs you got with the machine, or TechTool Pro.
