Ok, so I bought a Macbook, and put 2GB of ram into it. Everything works fine when the comp is first on, then after running a couple of programs, like safari, quicktime, itunes, vlc, quicktime starts to run horribly slow.
So I quit out of all my open programs and open quicktime, to watch the video. It still plays really slow and choppy, then I go and check iStat Pro in my dashboard and it shows that I am using 1.96GB of ram.
So I quit all my programs and let my comp sit there for a couple of minutes with nothing running, then I check again and it says that I'm still using 1.96GB.
Ok, so I go check activity moniter, and it says that 1.96GB is being used, but of that 1.4GB is inactive, with 20MB free.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is it even a real problem?
