Just looking on crucials uk site and i can get 2gb of pc5300 ddr2 for £58.74

Seems like a great price for 2gb of ddr2. (2x 1gb)

At the moment my macbook is as follows.

core duo 1.83
combo drive.
1gb ram (2x512mb)
120gb fujitsu 5400rpm harddrive (upgraded from the original 60gb)

Dual booting between XP and OSX. (Did have Vista on but i took it off because it was a bit sluggish and the drivers were a bit problematic)

Macbook gets used for surfing the internet mostly, and some light gaming (mostly wow and RTS games) i play most pc games on the desktop and just use the macbook when i don't want to be tied to the desk or am away from home, and the odd LAN game.
Will it be a worthwhile upgrade performance wise?

Might even chuck vista back on it if I upgrade the ram.

What was the question?

If it's whether to go for 2 Gb, the answer is Yes.
If it's whether to buy now or wait, Buy Now.

We are hearing rumblings of prices going up on RAM, as soon as next week. There are presently shortages in DDR RAM and MacPro FB-DIMMs, so anything could happen.

Thanks for that heads up. I was holding out on getting RAM for my minis at work off of Crucial.
