Macbook randomly shutting off

I have a new macbook about 3 months old. For the last 3 days, about 3-4 times a day, my computer will just shut off. I'll be using word, or some other random program and all the sudden it will shut off. It will restart fine and everything, but it I have no clue whats wrong. Anyone have any ideas for me?

there were recently firmware updates for all Intel Macs. did you install said update?
