Macbook Remote and MS Powerpoint

Can you use macbook's remote to switch slides for MS powerpoint? If so, how?

you can configure the iRed Lite's buttons to arrow keys.

If you have keynote, i've recently discovered that keynote is compatible with the remote and can open ppt files.
