Hey all, I just had my white Macbook (1st gen) repaired under warranty for the discoloration and crack above the IR eye. I was wondering if I need a skin, film or some sort of protector to avoid this issue again. If so, could someone kindly point to a product.

Thanks in advance!

you shouldn't need one. but they're nice to have imo.

from the advice given on these forums i got a moshi guard and its great for the palm rest and trackpad. so that'd be my recommendation.

You should have the discoloration problem again. But that's not to say it won't get dirty so if you want it to stay clean a protector would be a good idea.

will the trackpad still function well with that moshi palm guard film placed over it?
