I have following issue ...
I bought a macbook refurbished at apple online store. I got it on Thursday and since this time I started experiencing variety of problems. First of all sometimes macbook just does not boot. Sometimes keyboard stops working. Some strange cracking sounds may be heard from speakers from time to time.
So I probably have to have my macbook replaced or repaired. The problem is that I am not a US resident and have to go back to my country on 20th September. And that is why I have some questions about the procedure of replacing and repairing macbooks.
First of all I would be grateful if you could tell me how do those procedures exactlly look like. DO I have to send them my macbook and then they will decide if they can replace it and then they send it to me, or is it something like that after setting replacement via telephone they send it immediatelly?I would like to know to stuff like that. Also what kind of shipment do they use for replacing/repairing purposes. Is it express or the standard one? And how much time does it take to acomplish each procedure?
I would also like to know your opinion which of those - replacement or repair - would be better for me. What I need is to have fully functional macbook before 20th September so if you know which of those method is faster, more reliable etc please let me know.
And last but not least - is it somehow possible to have the refurbished macbook replaced in some retail store ?
