my macbook is about 7 months old and I have noticed that when I put it to sleep it will sometimes restart or wake itself up without my even touching my computer or mouse....does anyone have any suggestions why this is occurring?

Please advise...

Thanks,

Jerry

Do you have any Bluetooth devices around them/connected to them? Is "allow BT devices to wake this compuer" checked?

Search around and you will find some similar threads.

if you're in the middle of a process when you try to put it to sleep, it will refuse to sleep -- like in the middle of saving something or checking your mail or syncing time or in the middle of closing an app or myriad things like that.

i have tried to change the energy settings and closing the lid...my wireless mighty mouse is not touched or moved, in fact I am not at my desk...i just hear it turn itself on.
