I've had my Macbook for about 2 months now, and this is a recent thing that has happened a couple of times.

When my battery gets to 0% and shuts down, instead of doing that dimmed thing with the progress bar which restores my workspace when i plug it back in to the charger, it just restarts and i have to start again.

Luckily when this has happened i've only been mooching with Safari and iTunes, but i'm a little worried about the possibility of me losing some Illustrator work or something when i dont realise the battery is gone.

Help / advice much appreciated.

I am having a similar issue. the battery gets down to about 13-20% and the compter shuts off. This happens without warning a the machine has to be rebooted when the power is reconnected.
