I've had my macbook for about a month, and just recently have been having some problems. At first, Microsoft Word and such ran extremely slow. I did all the updated that it has, and it still runs slow and my words and typing started to lag behind. Now, when I go to windows, it starts up, and then while it's loading all of the stuff at startup, it blue screens (that's windows for you huh?). Now, when I go back to Mac, it's extremely slow and my words are lagging, etc. I have done all the necessary automatic updates for my Mac, and now I don't know what to do. Is there some sort of defrag I need to do? I have a Macbook Intel Core Duo 2.0 GHz with 2 gb of ram.

Any ideas? I need help!!

Is the RAM 3rd party? Is it seated correctly? Another way to test RAM is to run the Apple Hardware Test found on the 1st install DVD in a loop or to buy and use Memtest.

I don't know how much it'll help, but try repair permissions and run sudo periodic daily weekly monthly in the Terminal.

Very simple, reinstall..
This problem is otherwise way to hard for you to deal with and i'm not going to explain every single step you have to do to make it work again. It would take like 10 mins of typing... don't have that time right now.
Easiest= reinstall ..
