MacBook SATA 3.0 gb/s HDD Compatible?

Upgrading my hard drive, will the 3.0 gb/s work?
Not really sure what 3.0 gb/s is vs. SATA 150.
SATA hard drives bigger than 120 gb seemed to have dried up at NewEgg.
(a Leopard thing?)

3GB/s should work, but don't quote me on that. I know that you can use newer SATA 3GB/s drives on older SATA150 motherboards in desktops, usually by moving a jumper, but not positive about notebooks.

Technically, 3gb/s is some sort of unit unheard of by science since the official abbreviation of Giga is G. But yes, b is the abbreviation for bit, whereas B is the abbreviation of Byte. But i believe the drive is capable of 3 GigaBytes/second (and whether those are GigaBytes or GibaBytes I am not sure) which is about 8 times as much as 3Gb/second (well, exactly 8 times really)

The SATA/300 drives drop back to SATA/150 speeds when the faster controller isn't available. It doesn't make a jot of difference in the real world as no laptop drive can saturate a 150Mb/s bus anyway...
