My Macbook's screen is always dimmed. You know how after a couple of seconds, the screen dims a little, right before it goes to sleep? Mine has been in that dim position for hours now. It will go to sleep, but my screen is no longer bright when I awaken it.

I haven't done anything to it. I usually let it sleep before bed every night. Does my warranty cover this? Also, if I call up Applecare and tell them of the problem, could they arrange for it to be fixed at my nearby Apple store? I'm a student, so I can't go without my laptop for a couple of days. I have organization stuff and class work to attend to. My Macbook is my information hub.

*sigh*
*adds this with a stained trackpad, etc.*

Geez. This thing is really failing me.

Have you tried changing the brightness to various positions? If that by itself doesn't work, change the brightness to very dim, restart and then, make it as bright as it will go and restart.

Haha. It worked. I think someone was on my computer earlier, because the brightness level was very low. Thanks so much.
