So I just purchased 2 1gb sticks for my Macbook core duo, searched a plethora of posts about how to remove and install the new memory, went out and purchased a #1 phillips and followed all of the instructions as appropriate.

Bad News
Many of you said it is an easy process to upgrade the Macbook's memory and I agree it is, however, who ever put and tightened those tiny 3 screws that hold the L shaped piece of metal in place must be one sadistic, you fill in the blanks. Two of the screws came out with a bit of a struggle, but the middle one, all I can say is that I used some new combination explenatives getting that one out. I actually had to put a tiny drop of solvent on that tiny screw and that did the trick.

Good News
2gb of memory, and an even faster Macbook. Plus I transplanted the 2 512mb sticks of memory to my $359 Mac Mini purchased as a clearance item at Compusa, and that machine is also reaping the performance benefits. Now removing that Mac Mini case, that's for another post!

Happy Thanksgiving.
