Hay all. I recently bought a macbook (2 gig core2duo/1 gig - white). I have also just installed 2 gig of RAM. Now i've noticed a speed decrease since install the 2 gig.

Any reasons for this? the about this mac screen says 2 gig, and the system profiler says 2 gig (1 gig in each bank).

Thanks in advanced.

You can expect the machine to be a bit slower at boot time, however nothing else should be slowed down. I am assuming you have an adequate amount of hard drive space free. If you have 2 Gb or less of free hard drive space you'll run into major problems with the swap files.

There is a possibility that the new RAM is erroring -- try running Apple hardware test or Rember
to test the memory.
